Templates: Default Descriptors

Designating Default Descriptors for Items

The Descriptors for Items in your Inspections show as "Select Item Description" as the Default. You simply make a selection from the pulldown in your inspection.

You can change the Descriptor to have a Default selection chosen by you. If you find that 75% or more of the time you will have the same selection for that Item in your inspection, then have this selection pre-selected for your Inspections. You can change your Default selection in the Inspection if needed. Changing the descriptor selection in an Inspection does not affect the Template setting.

In order to view the Items for a Section just click on the section. Below you can see the section Grounds highlighted in green displaying all of its corresponding Items to the right. Click the edit icon to the right of the Item name.

Select a Default Descriptor selection in the pulldown.
Click the "Done" button.

All your inspections will now show with that Default selection for that Item.
